This is another frame project (repurposing a bunch of frames that have been sitting in boxes- with the intention of selling them at upcoming craft fairs). This one was 18" long so decided to make it into a menu board- I cut the arrows with CTMH Artbooking, stamped them with the coordinating stamp set & then cut some papers to equal out 7 spots for the 7 days of the week- fairly simple & fun

Repurposed Frames

I decided to put to work a couple boxes of old picture frames that have been gathering dust in the closet & garage. So I dusted them off, spray painted them- most in black, matt or glossy- then applied white paint to tone down & distress the black- or on the shiny smooth ones I added gold paint around to give some character. Next I'm putting some images on the inside w/scrapbook paper, cardstock, Cricut cuts, etc. The larger frames will be sold at Art In the Park (an annual craft fair we have in Robertson Co, TN) as dry erase boards and the smaller ones as home decor items.

Here's a couple I've done so far- this is a home decor item as the frame is 5x7 and also chunky- so would not make for a dry erase board very well

I dry embossed a cut of cranberry card stock & mounted it on the backing. Next I stamped the tree & then the hearts again with Versamark and heat embossed them with cranberry embossing powder. Next I cut them out and applied them to the tree. The title was all together so I masked it in half so as to stamp and cut the strips out to apply above & below the tree. That was it- next I just placed it in the frame.

Here are a couple I did with die cut butterflies using CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. I cut out several graduating sizes and then colored them with reinker mixed with alcohol. I had fun mixing & blending the colors onto each piece. This way no 2 are the same. I chose a couple coordinating scrapbook papers and cut them to size, placed the butterflies, stamped a sentiment & then put them in the frames. These will be dry erase boards. I really like how the butterflies turned out- I think they add so much character- the trick with coloring them is to place one color ink below the cut & spray the other on top- moving the piece around in the puddle a bit for it to soak in at various places

The background in the above is a light blue paper- guess the camera did not pick that up thru the glass. The sentiments are stamped in black pigment ink to make them stand out more.

CTMH Cricut ArtBooking is an awesome cartridge- and using Cricut Craft Room (CCR) you can add to it so much more. Here is a page I did for a friend so her daughter will be able to hang it in her dorm room when she goes to college- an overlay and a welded title-

I spritzed the sun overlay with some extra yellow and then some Goldrush ink to give it a sort of ombre effect & warmth- then added two photo spots. Now add the photos and TaDa! Simple and ready to frame & hang in her room.
