I didn't choose the sketches that came in the WOTG as I wanted to really feature the stamps and colorful papers in this kit. I used the sketch "Treasured Tags" from the pattern book Imagine. I only slightly altered the sketch as I didn't have more than the 3 pictures I wanted to use. I distressed the edges with the edge distesser tool to bring out the white core, then used the sanding block to really show it off. Finished everything by adding a few gems that came in the kit & it's done! A really simple & fun sketch.
The second sketch I chose is "Illuminate" from the Make it from Your Heart pattern book. All the stamps are from what came with the kit- I just cut them out so they had more dimension & popped ZOE up on foam tape to make it really stand out (much easier to see IRL of course). Zoe was cut using the CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge. By using different colors for the inks- it makes the elements not all the same. The ribbon strips at the bottom are from the paper's boarder strips that are on all the pattern papers- that little extra. The bees and the Bee Yourself sticker are from the Buzz & Bumble Assortment you can purchase separately too. Oh- I put a gem as the center for each flower to give it some sparkle.
This is a 3rd lay out I squeezed out of the kit (also made 5 cards & some tags. I'll post those soon). This sketch is "Memoirs Complete" from the Imagine pattern book. On this sketch I didn't use any of the stamps or accessories from the kit. I did use an extra sheet of Colonial White card stock & some scrap Cocoa card stock not from the kit. I cut the fleur de lis using the CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge & the Boy Scouts from the Artiste cartridge. I used the Cricut Craft Room program that is free from Cricut to connect to the cartridge & allowed me to weld the letters together making it easier to handle the title words (first time I used this & am wondering why I haven't been using it all this time). I sponged the large fleur de lis to give it a gold rustic look. I also stenciled a fleur de lis using the cut from the smaller ones & some Colonial White ink. I made a journal box & because I had so much to put on there, I used a 4" wide piece of Colonial White & put it thru my printer & backed it with another scrap from the pattern paper of the kit. Lastly I stamped 'unmatched style' from the Pure Adventure stamp set in Cocoa ink to match the kit; roughed it up a bit, edged it with some chocolate ink & then sewed a couple pieces of chocolate embroidery floss on a couple spots making it look like a tattered patch.
Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment & let me know you were here. Have a blessed day.
