Kitty Pages

I'm taking a class called Super Simple Scrapbooking at BPC (Big Picture Classes) and these are the 1st layouts I've turned out in several months. I tried to do something stamped & a Cricut cut for each one:

All the challenges were super simple so made them quick to do. That easy strategy is what made it fun to also challenge myself to use the Cricut & a stamped image on each page. These are only 1-6, I have more to go. Overall there will be 18 challenges in this class. I'm now behind by 4 & they only post the new challenges on weekdays so everyone has the weekend to catch up. I started the class a week late, but I'm still so glad I decided to take the class. I really needed the boost to get turning out scrapbook pages.

I chose to scrap mostly my foster kitties so far as I'll be taking them to show at an upcoming event for the rescue group Noah's Ark Society (whom I foster for)- the event is called Paws on the Pavement & promotes awareness, raises money & also has dogs and a few cats present to talk about adoption. I'll be selling my wares with the proceeds going to Noah's Ark. I'll also be offering guests to bring a 5x7 of their pet and do a scrapbook page for a $20 donation to Noah's Ark. They get to take home a great page (that they can also frame in case they don't scrapbook) of their pet.

So if you live near Nashville, TN in any way- come on out on December 6th to
 4012 Hillsboro Pike
 Nashville, TN
Sisters Closet is your key you're in the right place. Just across & down a little from the Cheesecake Factory.

Thanks for stopping by. Leave me a comment & let me know you were here. Have a blessed day.

Veteran's Day

God bless our Military- those who served & are still serving.

We went to Springfield to pick up a couple things for a project & since it was lunch time took Applebee's up on their free lunch for Veterans. I was so touched when I saw the table they had placed with the empty chair- the place setting, the candle, the glass... the table set to represent a place for those who have served before us- for those who gave all or are currently deployed right now-

If you have served- you know this table well. For when you see it- you see the faces of those who will never be able to share a table with you again on this earth & also those you are missing because they are still on a mission elsewhere.

I'm not always a fan of going to Applebee's but they do a tremendous job of showing our Veterans they are valued. Applebee's contributes to the communities for which they are a part & I salute them for their support for our Military.

They also support our schools and our Scouts- I support a business who supports their community and the values that America was founded on.

They also gave us a couple pictures that they had children color for today

Thank you to all who serve.
