Multi Media

I was taking a class on http://BigPictureClasses.com  called "Just Add Color" and a wonderful artist Wilna Furstenberg taught several segments about using multimedia techniques on 12x12 scrapbook size paper. I have never put so much paint and ink & layers on a piece of paper before. But it was FUN & it turned out BEAUTIFUL!!! I did 3 projects total but this one I was really happy with- the paper, the Cricut cuts and ink colors are all CTMH product except the gesso I used to mask the base paper and the glue to adhere all the layers of cut flowers & the song.

I will need to do something similar again yet make a video as it's hard to tell all what went into this without seeing it happen in front of you.

I used 2 reinkers to make the purple & blue - mixed with water to spread on the page. The 2 butterflies on the left and the 3 flowers on the lower right was colored using reinker mixed with alcohol to give them a very mottled effect. The photo really doesn't show it well- thus I need to do a video so you can see the items as they are put down. I won't do this exact page- but the techniques will be the same.

Thanks for stopping by

  1. I can't say enough on how all these tools help a Social Media marketer that was formerly "graphically-challenged", like me. I have been using cavana and picmonkey for a while now and have had great response with engagement. I am looking forward to trying out many of these tools. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and love of our craft.
